Jim Allbaugh, President/CEO at Carey Services

As President/CEO for a mid-size non-profit, it is important that I lead our Board of Directors through a diligent search for a dependable and reputable auditing firm. As an organization that provides some specialized services, we want to know that the audit firm we choose has a diverse knowledge of programs, services, and funding that we administer. As we did our last review and evaluation of auditing services, it became clear that Blue & Company embodies all of the things our organization needs to assure we are compliant with our internal control and accounting practices, and that we are accountable to all of the funders that help us impact people.

The leadership from the top at Blue & Company has been impressive, are relationship oriented, and they get our mission/vision/values. For Blue & Company, I believe they take their relationship to a level even above, “Just producing our audit” each year. The field representatives are always impressive, timely, and responsive to the needs of our organization and they are not afraid to take a “deep dive” to assure the auditing services we receive from Blue & Company are robust.

Blue & Company is an organization that appreciates efficiency and making the audit process efficient for our accounting team. We have appreciated and valued this. At the Board table, Blue & Company engages with our Board members in a way I had not observed with other auditing firms. Blue & Company is not afraid to take questions and to explain thoroughly the audit reports to make sure the Carey Services team will use the documents produced for future growth and improvement.
