Positive Outcomes of Implementing Network Integrity Analysis

Network Integrity is the ability to keep patients within the organization-defined provider network. In our last video and article, we discussed a case study and how the health system used Network Integrity to understand its patient flow. In part three of our series, we will highlight the positive outcomes of implementing a network integrity analysis.

The Importance of Updating Analysis Methods

In review of the all-payor claims database, this health system’s executive team was able to identify significant market trends allowing for precise identification of appropriate strategic actions. Previously, these trends were identified through a variety of disparate information resources; however, with this updated approach, the analysis was further refined and more specific, allowing for greater certainty and specificity in the approach with enhanced reliability and actionability.

This new level of analytical capability was valued, as it demonstrated the applicable degree of success attained in this health system’s various strategic initiatives and clarified the objectives of the organization. While the identification of tactical and operational strategies was the primary objective, the client realized this analysis bolstered their ability to guide recruitment, prioritize effort and guide related strategies in a manner that was highly specified to the needs of the organization and community.

Blue & Co.’s Impact

In retrospect, this health system has been able to realize significant strategic capability, utilize “real-time” reporting to evaluate the success of initiatives, and further refine the approach applied to delivering healthcare in a highly concentrated and competitive market.

By partnering with Blue & Co. on a network integrity analysis they were able to leverage their ability to provide more care and to do so in an efficient, patient-centric manner that supports sustainability in the delivery of care to their community.
