On Demand Webinar: Hospital Outpatient Therapy: A Patient-Centric Way to Grow Revenue

Outpatient physical therapy programs are often overlooked in the hospital. However, there are several opportunities to increase access to care for patients and increase revenue for the hospital in outpatient therapy. Believe it or not, there are still opportunities for charge capture in this area, along with some basic “blocking and tackling” operational issues.

New value-based payment models have changed the way providers deliver therapy to those in need. Specifically, changes to home health therapy payment models leave gaps for patients who do not meet the admission criteria of the other levels of post-acute care. Often overlooked by health systems, outpatient physical therapy programs can be the service that meets the needs of some patients whose therapy needs are not met under new regulations.
