Mickie Murphy Named President of Blue Benefits Consulting, Inc.

CARMEL, Ind. (January 5, 2023) – Blue & Co., LLC and Blue Benefits Consulting, Inc. are delighted to share that Mickie Murphy, CPC, QKA, QPA, QKC, ERPA, has been named President of Blue Benefits Consulting (BBC).

“I am pleased to announce that Mickie Murphy has been promoted to President of Blue Benefits Consulting, Inc.,” Brad Shaw, managing director of Blue & Co. said. “With 40 years of experience in the industry, I am confident that under Mickie’s direction, BBC will continue to experience tremendous growth and become a powerful thought leader in the industry.”

Murphy has served as a Senior Manager and Practice Lead for BBC since October 2015. She was instrumental in effectively doubling the organization’s annual revenue, as well as for managing the transition period when BBC acquired Indiana Benefits, Inc. Murphy manages a staff of 12 and has additionally taken the lead on projects such as software harmonization among offices, new software adoption, and various other process enhancements.

Murphy studied at Florida State University, before receiving her BBA in Business Management from The University of Memphis in 1990. She is certified by the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent and certified by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator, Qualified 401(k) Consultant, Certified Pension Consultant, and Qualified Pension Administrator.

Prior to joining our team, Murphy led the Third-Party Administration (TPA) practice for a large national CPA firm and was a member of the U.S. Chamber Retirement Plan subcommittee.
