Eric Bennett

“I started in public accounting right after graduating with my masters in accounting from Indiana
University. I wanted to stay local to southern Indiana and felt like a large regional firm that had a Bloomington office was my best choice. After six years, I was approached by Blue & Co. to do something a little different, and part of the equation was the feeling that I would have more control over my career.

So, after a couple months of deliberating (as I’m quite loyal), I left my position as manager at the regional firm to help manage large business tax work in the Southern Indiana practice at Blue. Right out of the gate, I found the culture of Blue to be extremely comfortable and my personality really meshed with everyone I was working with. From there on, I have never looked back. Since then, I helped recruit a small practice in Bloomington (owned by a former manager I had at the regional firm) to be a part of Blue so I’m now spending time back in that market.

I see the move to Blue as one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I liked it so much
that now I’m a director!”
