Upcoming Hospital 340B Program Recertification Window

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has set the annual recertification period for the 340B Drug Pricing Program for hospitals to begin on August 11, 2025, and end on September 8, 2025.  The Authorizing Official and/or Primary Contact listed for your hospital should have recently received an email notification from HRSA.  All hospitals participating in the 340B Program must complete the eligibility recertification on the Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System (OPAIS) website to continue participating in the program, which allows them to purchase covered outpatient drugs at 340B Program prices. During recertification, the Authorizing Official attests to the hospital’s compliance with all 340B Program requirements.

HRSA will host a webinar outlining the recertification process. The webinar will take place on August 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM EST. The webinar link and call-in details were provided in the HRSA email sent to Authorizing Officials and Primary Contacts.

Helpful Tips for Recertification
  • Ensure all contact information on the OPAIS site is accurate and up to date to make sure you continue to receive all recertification notifications.
  • Print the recertification guide and have it available for reference.
  • Print a hard copy of your hospital’s Medicare Cost Report and have it available as you complete the recertification.
  • Do not wait until the last day to complete the recertification as system issues might arise which could interrupt or prevent the completion of recertification.
