Mandatory Indiana 340B Program Reporting: First Filing Due by April 1st

Effective July 1, 2025, the state has expanded oversight of the 340B Program, requiring all hospital covered entities with a service address in Indiana to submit detailed annual reports to the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH).

The critical deadline of April 1, 2026, for compliance with this reporting requirement is fast approaching. Covered entities must submit a report covering all program data from the previous calendar year.  Failure to meet this strict deadline will result in significant financial penalties, as the Indiana Code mandates a $1,000 fine for each day a report remains overdue.

These reports must contain extensive financial and operational disclosures, including aggregate drug acquisition costs for all 340B Program medications, total reimbursement payments received, and detailed records of payments made to outside vendors and/or contract pharmacies. Furthermore, covered entities are required to disclose specific information regarding how program savings were utilized, specifically geared towards charity care and community benefit expenses.
