Bob Ellis Named Supervisory Committee Volunteer at FORUM Credit Union

CARMEL, Ind. (September 27, 2023) – Blue & Co., LLC is pleased to announce that Bob Ellis has joined FORUM Credit Union as a Supervisory Committee Volunteer.

“I have been a FORUM member since 1992,” said Ellis. “This is a chance for me to give back to my community and an institution that has given so much to me and my family. I look forward to using my 31 years of public accounting experience as I take on this important role at FORUM and can’t wait to begin this amazing opportunity.”

Ellis has been with Blue for nearly 20 years and is a director of audit and assurance in our Carmel, IN office. He also serves as the director of Aliign, a professional services affiliate organization of Blue & Co., dedicated to the success of small businesses.

“We are excited for Bob Ellis to join the Supervisory Committee at FORUM Credit Union,” said Brad Shaw, managing partner. “He has always been incredibly involved in the Carmel and Fishers community and with his experience, I have no doubt that he will bring tremendous value to the FORUM organization and its members.”

Ellis holds a CPA license in the state of Indiana and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a past board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Hamilton Southeastern School Foundation, HSE Royal Varsity Club, and the Fishers Youth Assistance Program. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Girls Academy League, a leading national female youth soccer league.

“We are fortunate to have Bob Ellis joining the Committee,” said Doug True, FORUM chief executive officer, “FORUM’s Supervisory Committee plays a vital role in our cooperative governance, and we know Bob will be a tremendous contributor to the Committee and to the Credit Union.”

As a Supervisory Committee volunteer, Ellis is responsible for overseeing the performance of the Board of Directors and officers of the Credit Union. The Supervisory Committee’s role is to support and review Board policy, maintain internal controls, communicate with members, and oversee operations while working with the internal auditors concerning the audit process. They are also responsible for the engagement and oversight of the independent accountants who conduct the annual financial statement audit.

Members of this committee serve without compensation and are independent of the Board of Directors and management.
