Alan Baker Named Director of Accounting and Auditing; Chair of the Audit, Accounting and Quality Control Committee

CARMEL, Ind. (January 31, 2023) – – Blue & Co., LLC is proud to announce that Alan Baker has been named the firm’s Director of Accounting and Auditing and the Chair of the Audit, Accounting and Quality Control Committee effective January 1, 2023.

“The directorship and I are thrilled to name Alan Baker to this role,” Brad Shaw, managing director of Blue & Co. said, “For the last 13 years, Alan has grown and expanded our quality control team and it is now responsible for serving the firm’s assurance practice which includes more than 1,000 clients for Blue.”

Baker joined the firm in 2009 as the first Quality Control (QC) Officer and became a director in 2016. During his time with the firm, Baker has managed Blue’s regulatory functions including internal inspection, external peer review, and PCAOB inspections. Additionally, Baker has managed state licensing maintenance, mergers, and serves as a technical resource to teams and individuals across the firm.

“I am both honored and humbled by opportunity to serve as the firm’s Director of Accounting and Auditing,” Baker said. “It has been particularly exciting to see the continued growth and expansion of both the quality control team and the assurance practice over the past 13 years. I wish to thank my QC teammates, the AAQC Committee, firm leadership and the assurance practice for the trust and continued support they place in me in this new role.”

Baker replaces Mike Fleetwood as the Director of Accounting and Auditing and Chair of the Audit, Accounting, and Quality Control Committee. Fleetwood served in this role since 2011.
