Blue & Co. Still Operating Under Indiana & Ohio Stay at Home Orders

Today, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb released a “stay at home” order for the state, starting Tuesday, March 24, at 11:59 p.m., through 11:59 p.m. on April 6. This order mandates that all Hoosiers stay in their homes for all but essential outings and that all “non-essential” businesses close.

Yesterday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine released a “stay at home” order for the state starting tonight, Monday, March 23, at 11:59 p.m., through April 6. This order mandates that all Ohioans stay in their homes for all but essential outings and that all “non-essential” businesses close.

Accounting firms are on the list of “essential” businesses for both Indiana and Ohio, and Blue & Co. will continue to operate as we have been (with offices closed to public and a majority of our workforce remote).

If you still need to get your tax information to us to prepare your tax returns, there are several options for delivery:

  • Mail or ship it to our office. We have essential personnel positioned to receive mail and distribute it via digital means to our remote staff if needed.
  • Drop it off at our office. If you drop off at one of our offices, we will either have a secure table or mail slot set up for you. Our receptionists will take it from there. Note: this option is not available for our Downtown Indianapolis office.
  • Scan and submit securely online. To submit your documents securely, please contact your advisor or use our contact form on the website to request a personalized secure portal. Please do not submit documents as email attachments, as this can put your information at risk.

We will continue to update our website (www.blueandco.com/covid-19) on firm operations and updates related to COVID-19 legislation as they emerge.

We appreciate your understanding in this uncertain time.

Stay healthy!
