Mr. Parks has been with Blue & Co., LLC since 1987. He now serves as Director and specializes in Audit and Not-for-Profit sectors. Client responsibilities include engagement planning, supervision of fieldwork, financial statement preparation and presentation and coordination of all stages of engagements with clients and firm management. Mr. Parks performs evaluations of client's internal control structure and policies and procedures concluding with written recommendations for improvement. Further duties encompass the preparation, analysis and review of Medicare cost reports for various hospitals and healthcare providers, research and consultation regarding insurance reimbursement and allowable program costs. Not-for-profit experience includes preparation and review of 990 and 990-T filings, community benefit assessment, analysis of alternative revenue streams including unrelated business income perspective and various other tax disclosure issues.
Industry clientele includes hospitals and other healthcare providers, not-for-profit and governmental units, physician and provider networks, and retirement plans. Mr. Parks is involved in the Healthcare Financial Management Association and related committees. Other associations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. He earned both his undergraduate and Master's in Business Administration from Indiana University. |
