Blue & Co., LLC Names New Director

CARMEL, IN (Jan. 16, 2012) – Blue & Co., LLC, a leading regional public accounting firm with offices strategically located in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio is pleased to announce the promotion of Sara Jacobi to Director with the firm.
Mrs. Jacobi began her career with Blue & Co., LLC as an intern in the firm's Seymour, Indiana office in January 1995. She spent the first seven years of her career in the audit practice, serving clients primarily in the manufacturing and not-for-profit industries. In July 2002, Mrs. Jacobi transferred to the firm's Columbus, Indiana office to manage the tax and business services practice. In her current role, she provides tax planning and compliance services, accounting assistance and financial statement compilations for clients. She specializes in accounting and tax preparation and planning for individuals, closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Additionally, she assists clients in selecting, establishing and maintaining accurate and effective accounting systems. Mrs. Jacobi was instrumental in developing Aliign, LLC, an affiliated firm providing outsourced payroll, accounts payable and accounting solutions in the Southern Indiana offices as well as across the firm. In June 2010, Mrs. Jacobi was presented the Ron Blue award, which is presented to personnel in the firm who excel at business development efforts.

Mrs. Jacobi graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's of Science degree with Distinction in Accounting. She is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mrs. Jacobi serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Kidscommons and the Columbus Community Children's Museum. She also serves as a member of both the Finance Review and Citizens' Review committees for the United Way of Bartholomew County and has served as a volunteer Big Sister with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for a number of years.
